Leaders only exist because of the new challenges. They are the ones who accept the challenge. For some them, challenges are temporary, however for other, they are constant.

- Respect and being like: Some leaders consider that the reason behind not being like is being respected. It is necessary, of course, to choose respect over being liked. However, it is not a matter of choice. You can be competent to be respected, and be nice to be liked. All you need is additional effort to gain both. You can try to be down-to-earth, and be wise in treating your employees.
- Company’s needs vs. people’s need: Just as the challenge above, it is not a matter of choice. However, most leaders choose to sacrifice one for the sake of the other. It is such a hard task to balance between both needs, but at the same time, people search for support and motivation to deliver their best results. There is no escape of sacrifices, we all know that, but you need to balance. You must be able to satisfy your staff, or else, many will prefer quitting. At the same time, you should sometimes look after your organization’s needs before your team’s requests in order to fill your position in the best way possible.
- Motivation: There is a very common mistake among leaders: waiting for motivation from others. Having a good team, with good results and positive environment is the only motivation a leader can have. Being a leader means having full responsibility and capability of self-motivation. A simple way to be motivated is to know where you’re heading. If you know what you want, you will find thousands ways to get it.
- Concentration: To be a true leader is to have full attention and focus. You succeed at doing that when you succeed at knowing prioritizing your work. Sometimes it is inevitable to be distracted, but you can manage to handle distractions at a different time of the day. There are urgent and important tasks that should be done on time; therefore, concentration is a must. You must define at the very beginning of the day what your main target is, as you must also let your staff aware of it.
