Having privileged employees or marginalized employees in an enterprise is unacceptable. However, this is the case in some companies and enterprises and in the whole world.
How do privileged employees, in particular women, enter the office?
Decency, politeness and respect are important values that we learn from privileged employees. In fact, they enter the office without saluting anyone because they consider that they are more important than anyone else, they look around disgusted because of course, their opinion matters and is always taken into consideration by the administration and because everything is allowed to them, knowing that their intellectual capacities are less than average…
Since their behavior reflects bad manners, the others learn that they must act the opposite way; and here the saying: “bad things reveal the good things” confirms this. Every time the administration treated them in a special way, they show even more contempt to their colleagues and flame their discontent towards the administrations’ unjust behavior. In fact, discrimination in enterprises is intolerable.
The role of respect and values in the enterprise’s success
Employees who respect values and treat others accordingly, will definitely succeed and have tight relationships with others. In fact, showing respect, saluting others, and checking on them, starting with the most important employee to the cleaning worker, reflect high ethics and good upbringing.
However, when tackling the issue of respect, we notice that the majority of employees are not treated well by their administration and do not receive the sufficient respect from their heads of departments, which negatively impacts their performance and productivity.
The manager’s duty
Successful managers must consolidate the values of respect and equal treatment, because if they treated their employees well, they will excel in their jobs and will master the art of dealing with customers and clients. They will be devoted to their jobs and will register an exceptional performance, especially when they feel the attention, confidence and appreciation of their bosses, thus, they will not feel that they are treated with injustice and inequality. In addition, every manager must know that respecting his employees is not degrading but will rather motivate them to serve the enterprise he’s managing. Moreover, it is essential to provide equal raises, and to reward those who deserve it. Here, the manager should not be affected by the hypocrisy, flattery, and lies adopted by some people to reach their goals when in reality, their hearts are filled with aversion and hatred.
Finally, when employees feel that their manager is treating them equally and that he doesn’t privilege one over the others, it will be positively reflected on the work atmosphere and on the enterprise’s development and success.
