Having a training in the customer service department does not cost much. It is mainly based on the right interaction between the customer and the employee in a very well organized manner.
Maintaining a positive attitude repays good prizes, however some companies fail many times because of a poor customer service.
If your main goal is to profit from people then they will see that clearly. However if you aim at building a good relationship, both parties will win. A successful customer service is when the person’s life changes for the best.
A good customer service must be present during and after the sale. Three things must be found in all services and are as follows:
- Start in a friendly way
- Cover areas in the customer’s interest
- Be attentive to what the other has to say seeing the things his way.
Re-checking the standards
It is essential to define a good customer service and then review it again over time. It is similar as re-checking the standards and be sure they are still effective. If something does not fit in the current situation then it has to be changed. What should be taken care of is that the new standards upgrade the quality of the service and not simply bringing things to light.
Thus, an employee must be trustworthy and work according to the standards, because a customer who has to wait for the employee to refer to his direct manager in order to solve the problem will not be satisfied and they fear that the problem will not be solved.
The customer is the focus for a customer’s service department. Being attentive is also important because every problem is different from the other and must be treated delicately.
The employee must scrutinize in every problem and read between the lines of a customer. This is not a rule but an attitude and a behavior. You will understand the importance of this point when you know that little things can make a difference.
As a summary, doing things right results in good profits, so instead of only focusing on the benefits, create something that lasts and makes a change.
If you want to win your customers and keep them forever, you should provide and maintain certain standards of customer service.
